Micromax has launched an Android Ice
Cream Sandwich ruing device named as Micromax Booklet. This Android ICS
tablet has been surfaced in an online store, known as Homeshop18 with a
price tag of Rs. 7,999. This tablet is built with a capacitive
multi-touch display. Micromax being the top Indian brand in the mobile
phones market has a separate safe place but it seems that it will be
difficult in the part of tablet market.
Looking at the specs sheet of Micromax
Booklet in the page of Homeshop18 the Booklet will be enabled with a 7
Inches TFT LCD Capacitive Multi Touch Display Screen which is for the
first time from Micromax. It is to run on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3
Operating System and the power of A10 Processor. In terms of its storage
options there will be 512MB RAM, 4GB Internal memory and with the help
of MicroSD card the memory storage capacity can be extended to 32GB.
Apart from the above discussed
specifications this tablet would be equipped with a 0.3 Mega Pixel front
facing secondary camera so that the user of it can have a video chat.
Certain bother additional features included in the specs sheet are as
Wi-Fi connectivity, provided with a microSD card support, 3G (via USB
Dongle), sports high speed Internet connectivity options (3G/EVDO),
3.5mm audio jack, etc. As per the image the tablet probably would come
with USB OTG and HDMI support for which the user of it can enjoy its
content on their HDTV with the help of a HDMI cable. The device sports a
USB port and USB Dongle with 3G support.
In addition this Android ICS running
tablet will be configured with certain more features that include Adobe
Flash Player (10.3 or later), supports DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX
compatible formats, provided with a Sim card Slot. If we look at its
package contents then it will carry the Tablet, Charging Adaptor, USB
Cable (Female), User Guide and the Warranty Card. The battery which will
be provided in it will ensure 4 hours web browsing.
Presently, this
tablet is out of stock, but it is not having an expected release date on
the site. It is expected to get official soon. In fact, it’ll be great
to some of the other high-end tablets from Micromax.
